About Me:

My name is Jay Capron, and I am the News Director at 103.1 WCSJ-FM and 95.7 FM-WJDK in Morris, IL. I have always had a passion for sports, especially baseball and the Chicago White Sox. I started a radio show in 2005 called the Diamond Cutters with co-hosts Matt Cunico and Dan O'Connell and we cover all types of baseball topics including the White Sox and yes...the Cubs. I grew up in Lockport, went to Providence Catholic High School, and graduated with a B.A. in Communications from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I also worked with Dan Roan and Rich King when I interned with WGN-TV in the Sports Department. Watching Sox games and editing the highlights for the news- Doesn't get any better than that!
