Stukel to Slot

It appears that Kriss Proctor finished spring practice ahead of fellow
freshman Michael Stukel in the battle for the backup quarterback spot. As a
result, Stukel was getting repetitions at slot back in Thursday's final
practice. Head coach Ken Niumatalolo said Stukel is too good of an athlete
to be wasted as a third string quarterback and that the coaching staff felt
he had the speed and elusiveness to be an effective slot.
