Navy will be Making their 6th consecutive trip to the White House to accept the Commander-In-Chief Trophy

This is great for Navy and for the United States Naval Academy Sports. It shows the rise of what Naval Academy Sports teams at the Academy, can accomplish. If they do this again in the 2009 season, they wil break the Air Force record of 6 straight wins of the Commander-In-Chief Trophy from 1997-2002, Navy has never won the CIC Trophy more than four striaght (1973-1976) & (1978-1981). Before the 6 game CIC win streak of Air Force, they had a four game winning streak in the CIC Trophy race from 1991-1995. A win over Air Force and Army in 2009 would give Navy their 7th consecutive win, and would signify the a new record in the Commander-In-Cheif Trophy race, no one has ever won seven CIC Trophies in a row.

The Navy Football team will meet President Barack Obama in the White House Gardens to accept Navy's 6th straight Commander-In-Chief Trophy, which will be presented in a ceremony by President Obama on Tuesday April 21st, 2009.
