A perusal of WSU’s weekly football release shows that 10 of the 21 scout team offensive and defensive player of the week honors this season have gone to players whose last names start with B. Leading the way -- all 5-foot-6, 160-pounds of him -- is walk-on freshman Leon Brooks of Harbor City, Calif.

WEATHERLINE: Oregon St. at Washington St.

FOR THIS FIRST time this season snow is in the forecast for an Oregon State game as Martin Stadium will be windy and cold come Saturday with temperatures in the mid to high thirties. The Beavers have won six of the last 10 matchups versus the Cougars and have been favored to defeat WSU by 30 points or more the last two games.
