The 2008 ACC Football Kickoff weekend officially began on Saturday with the players arriving to the Ritz-Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Ga. Two student-athletes from each ACC school are invited to attend the conference's media weekend event. Seniors Aaron Curry and Alphonso Smith are on hand to represent Wake Forest.

With the hiring of Coach Paul Johnson, the Yellow Jackets have said yes to a new and different offensive philosophy. This translates to a somewhat different approach to recruiting in that players must now be able to fit a system, yet they must also be BCS-caliber athletes, as well.
