Cross Country. Cross Country Heads to NCAA Championships

For the first time in more than 20 years, the UTEP women's cross country team earned a bid to the NCAA Championships set for Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Kyle Padron threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to Emmanuel Sanders with 4:34 remaining in the fourth quarter, giving SMU a 35-31 win over UTEP on Saturday at Gerald J. Ford Stadium.

Taking some more trips

One of the Nebraska visitors that was in for the Oklahoma game was Derrick Malone, a three star safety from Colton (Calif.). The Huskers had a big night, particularly at the safety position, to have such a visitor in for the game. Malone left Lincoln without committing, but the highly sought after player has Nebraska very high on his board.
