Sep 3- The Padre Island Invitational and games against Arizona, Alabama and LSU highlight Texas A&M's 2008-09 non-conference men's basketball schedule. The Aggies will open the regular-season at home against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Nov. 16) and Stephen F. Austin (Nov. 18) before playing host to the first two games of the Padre Island Invitational. A&M will play Jackson State in the first round game on Nov.

Sep 2- Texas A&M junior midfielder Amber Gnatzig was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Tuesday. Gnatzig earned the honor for the first time in her career after an outstanding weekend against No. 2 North Carolina and Indiana. The Humble, Texas, product scored two goals against the Tar Heels and set up the first goal in a win against the Hoosiers. She helped bring A&M back from a 2-0 deficit in the second half of the UNC game, becoming the first Aggie to put up two goals against the 19-time national champions.

Texas A&M travelled to Norman to face the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday night. The Aggies kept it close until midway through the second quarter when A&M fumbles and inept offense enabled Oklahoma to score 28 answered points and take a 42-10 halftime lead. The onslaught continued in the second half as Oklahoma cruised to a 65-10 win. Landry Jones passed for 392 yards and 5 TDs to lead the Sooners.
