Orange Season Comes to a Close in Princeton



The eighth-ranked Syracuse University field hockey team had its season come to an end this afternoon in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Class of ’52 Stadium on the campus of Princeton University. The fourth-ranked Princeton Tigers outscored Syracuse 5-0 in the second half to defeat Syracuse 7-3 and to advance to the Final Four. The Orange finishes 2009 with an 18-4 record, while the Tigers improved to 16-2.

Orange Continues Home Stand Against Presbyterian College



The Syracuse women's basketball team will attempt to go 2-0 for the second consecutive season when it welcomes the Presbyterian College Blue Hose on Monday, November 16 for a 7 p.m. tip. The game is the second of a four game home stand for the Orange and is the first meeting between the two schools.

Orange Wins NCAA Northeast Titles



The Orange cross country teams made history on Saturday winning the NCAA Northeast Regional championships. It is the first NCAA Northeast Regional title for the men or the women in school history. Junior #Katie Hursey# was the first runner to cross the finish line at the competition with a time of 21:57, becoming SU's first individual women's champion. She has clocked the team's best time in four of the past five races.

Chestnut Misses Pitt Visit

Terrell Chestnut was expected to visit Pittsburgh this weekend, however he was unable to make the visit due to a scheduling conflict. Scout.com spoke to him about the Panthers anyway and confirmed that he will visit at some point.

Baines Talks Visits

Defensive back Ronald Baines has five interceptions on the season for Eastern High School who is sitting at 5-3 on the season. He visited Penn State this past weekend and has been to both Michigan and Rutgers as well.

Mangiro Takes In Penn State

The Mangiro family set out for State College at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and after two and a half hours of driving they got to soak in the atmosphere of Happy Valley. Penn State made a solid impression on four-star junior Angelo Mangiro.
