The 2009 season came to a close for Syracuse volleyball on Friday night as the No. 5 Orange dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 4 Louisville in the first round of the BIG EAST Championship at the Kentucky International Convention Center.

Freshman standout Isabel Menard set a career-high two goals as the Syracuse ice hockey team defeated Robert Morris, 4-0, on Friday, November 20. Holly Carrie-Mattimoe had a team-high four points on one goal and three assists, while sophomore Lisa Mullan scored the final goal in SU’s first shutout of the season.

No. 24 Syracuse (4-0) won the championship of the 2K Sports Classic benefitting Coaches vs. Cancer with a 87-71 triumph against defending national champion #6/4 North Carolina (4-1) on Friday, Nov. 20 at Madison Square Garden.
