The change in San Diego State quarterback Ryan Lindley has been dramatic over the past two weeks — statistically or otherwise. Four weeks ago he was missing receivers. The past two weeks he has been throwing darts. Four weeks ago, he looked gun-shy and unsure. The past two weeks he's been confident and decisive.

Avoid a meltdown. The Aztecs are coming off an emotional road win, and in one week, expectations have skyrocketed. There has even been some bowl game chatter – rare in these parts. Meanwhile, coach Brady Hoke and Co. are playing the one-game-at-a-time card.

San Diego State junior Vincent Brown, the nation's sixth-leading receiver, is expected to be out at least two or three weeks after undergoing surgery today on his right thumb.

The San Diego State women's basketball team limited visiting Arizona to only 19 points in each half, as the Aztecs claimed a hard-fought 57-38 victory Saturday evening at the first-ever JHG Jam at Viejas Arena.

Two more San Diego State school record fell as the Aztec swim team completed competition at the final day of the Toshiba Classic in Long Beach, Calif. San Diego State finished the three-day meet with 646 points to finish fourth of 25 teams behind only Stanford, Cal and UCLA.

"Utah got up on us quickly. We gave up big plays and we had a couple of penalties on both sides of the ball that didn't help us. We put ourselves back a little bit offensively and defensively and then we had some things go wrong. We have to do a better job of stopping the big plays defensively and have to get better as a team."
