Who should the niners go after in Free Agency?

I know that the niners should sign Lance Briggs, as well as try to bring in Randy Moss. He would be a great fit for Martz as the new OC. In the draft we should focus on DL and a safety to complement Lewis. Chris Johnson would be a great pick up if it didn't cost too much. I would like to know what other fans might think. Thanks.

Moss wouldn't go to San Fran. Their money is much more wisely spent on a veteran like Ice Bruce who knows Martz all too well. Justin Smith is rock solid. However, free agency is fun, but is Alex Smith and is Mike Nolan the respective quarterback and head coach of the future?

You answer ME that.

In hindsight I agree with you about Ice Bruce and well they signed him. He will bring leadership and knowledge to the young receiving corps. Smith is a great pick up. Nolan should be the head coach of the future. As far as Alex Smith this is the final year for him to prove it . If he doesnt I believe it's time to look for another qb.

I'm worried Alex Smith may struggle again since he has another offensive coordinator this season. Hopefully Isaac Bruce and his familiarity of Mike Martz's offense will help Smith grow in the offense quickly. You think Frank Gore will have a huge rebound season?

I agree with you about Alex Smith but I believe if he can stay healthy he will flourish in Martz's offense especially with Bruce to help him. I hope Frank Gore has a great rebound season but who knows I mean running backs don't have phenomenal seasons in Martz's offense but he will be good. What do you think about bringing in Jimmy Kennedy to play tackle or end for us. He's a big body who I think is capable of being a good run stuffer as well as get after the qb?

Did he sign with the Jags? http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/huddleup/2008/03/jagu...

The Niners allowed rushing yards was misleading last year. Since the Niners were falling behind in games all season long the opposing team focused on their rushing game to eat up the clock and prevent turnovers. The Niners were 22nd in the NFL in allowing rushing yards a game (118) but were fifth best in yards per carry(3.8). Those two numbers basically say you had to be watching the games to know if they need the help. I would refer to you Aaron knowing better than me.

I'm assuming if Martz can get this offense rolling that most of the defensive woes will go away.

I agree with you I was thinking that bringing in Jimmy Kennedy would be good to add with Bryant Young retiring. He should be a bargain since he has been a disappointment after being a first round pick. But you are right if the offense is as capable as it should be with Martz then the defensive woes will disappear.

I would just like to know whom the fans think the Forty Niner's should draft. After the free agency we had I would like to see a big time receiver. Hardy or Kelly. Also what everyone thinks of the possibility of a trade for Roy WIlliams?
