Babbitt Scores 26 to Lead Nevada Past Montana State 75-61

Sophomore Luke Babbitt scored a game-high 26 points as Nevada cruised past Montana State 75-61 in the season opener for both teams Saturday night. It also gave first-year Nevada head coach David Carter his first career victory and marked the sixth time in seven years that the Wolf Pack has opened the year with a win.

Taking some more trips

One of the Nebraska visitors that was in for the Oklahoma game was Derrick Malone, a three star safety from Colton (Calif.). The Huskers had a big night, particularly at the safety position, to have such a visitor in for the game. Malone left Lincoln without committing, but the highly sought after player has Nebraska very high on his board.
