STARKVILLE, Miss. - A season sweep of rival Ole Miss and the program's first back-to-back SEC wins since 2007 are on the line Sunday afternoon at the Newell-Grissom Building when the Bulldogs (7-21, 3-14 SEC) take on Ole Miss (8-18, 2-14 SEC) in a 1:30 p.m. Southeastern Conference volleyball match. It's the final Sunday competition of the season for MSU.

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Alabama kept its unblemished record intact Saturday evening as the third-ranked Crimson Tide turned back Mississippi State 31-3 in front of a Scott Field record crowd of 58,103 and a nationally-televised ESPN audience.

STARKVILLE, Miss. - After a convincing 106-48 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff to open the season on Friday, the Mississippi State women's basketball team continues its season-opening four-game homestand Sunday, playing host to Atlantic-10 member East Tennessee State. Tip time is set for 2 p.m. at the Humphrey Coliseum.

“I’m obviously disappointed. (It was) A tremendous atmosphere tonight, our student body came out in force. Seeing the stadium full a half-hour before kickoff with the student section, that was fantastic.”

QUARTERBACK TYSON LEE: “It was really tough. Especially the first half, we weren’t able to run the ball like we needed to. The second half we were able to kind of establish the running game which opened up the passing game, we just weren’t able to make the big plays when we needed to. And we came up empty.”

The largest crowd in Davis Wade Stadium history turned out to see Mississippi State start off their November stretch-run. What the 58,103 witnessed was a 31-3 defeat and proof of why Alabama is again the Western Division champions and on the fast track for their looming SEC Championship showdown with Florida.
