Days after Sports Illustrated put Michigan State's Kalin Lucas on the cover of its magazine, he lived up to his cover status, coming out in attack mode against Toledo.

Three years ago this week I can remember making another hundred or so phone calls in the latest quest to learn who Michigan State would hire as its new head football coach.

Roe, a 6-foot-8 sophomore, has had two forgettable outings to open the season, going scoreless and fouling out against both Florida Gulf Coast and Gonzaga.

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Even though No. 2 Michigan State wasn't at its best, it found a way to win easily at home.

I think this season has been fine. Nothing special. Nothing embarrassing, just fine. Now, if the Spartans could pull off the win Saturday and then finish the season with a bowl win (the first under Mark Dantonio), I think this season would look and feel a lot better.

LANSING — The Michigan Court of Appeals has reinstated a felony unarmed robbery charge against former Michigan State University linebacker SirDarean Adams, concluding that prosecutors presented enough evidence to take the case to trial.

The Michigan State men's soccer team will host Duke in the second round of the NCAA Championship on Sunday (Nov. 22) at 1 p.m. at DeMartin Stadium. Tickets for Sunday's match are $7 for adults and $5 for students, seniors and youths and can be purchased at the main entrance to DeMartin Stadium behind Jenison Field House.

The Michigan State men's and women's swimming and diving teams completed day one of the TYR Invitational on Friday (Nov. 20). After 14 events, the men's team stands in first place over second place, and host school, Northwestern, 265-222. With 208 points, the women's team ended day one in third place behind Northwestern (414 points) and Iowa State (216).

Draymond Green had 15 points to lead a balanced attack, and No. 2 Michigan State kept up its home court mastery with a 75-62 win over Toledo on Friday night.
