My Playoff Seeding Predictions

Since I have the luxury of picking after the Bibby and soon-to-be Kidd trade, I'll give my two cents how the seedings will go for the playoffs.

Eastern Conference
1. Boston Celtics
2. Detroit Pistons
3. Toronto Raptors
4. Orlando Magic
5. Cleveland Cavaliers
6. Atlanta Hawks
7. Chicago Bulls
8. Washington Wizards

Western Conference
1. Dallas Mavericks
2. LA Lakers
3. Utah Jazz
4. San Antonio Spurs
5. Phoenix Suns
6. Houston Rockets
7. Denver Nuggets
8. Golden State Warriors

Note: I'm still not convinced the Hornets can maintain this winning streak in the second half of the season.

The fact that the Bulls are going to make the playoffs after the disaster that they have been in 2007/2008 is a joke. They really need to make a deal if they want to make a run.

I pretty much agree with you on the Eastern Conference but here is my seedings for the Western:

1. LA Lakers - They are loaded once Bynum comes back
2. Dallas - I think they can win some games in the regular season but are they tough enough for the playoffs?
3. Utah - Deron Williams is the best young PG in the league and has done it under pressure before.
4. Phoenix - This could be higher or lower, it all depends on Shaq.
5. San Antonio - Will they have enough left in the tank down the stretch?
6. New Orleans - Well balanced team that can win on the road. Lack of playoff experience will hurt them.
7. Denver - This may be Karl's last run with the nuggets.
8. Houston - Yao and McGrady are just too good to not get in. If their role players can produce they could be dangerous.
