The Boston College field hockey team lost a hard-fought game to Syracuse 6-2 on a cloudy afternoon in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on the campus of Princeton University.

W. Ice Hockey. Women's Hockey Tops Connecticut In A Shootout

The Boston College women's ice hockey team skated to a 0-0 tie with Connecticut before grabbing an additional league point on its record with a 1-0 shootout win on Saturday afternoon.

M. Basketball. Men's Basketball Wins Season Opener, 89-58

Senior Tyler Roche scored a career-high 30 points to lead Boston College to an 89-58 season-opening victory over Dartmouth. Roche, whose previous career high was 17 points, shot 10-for-12 from the field, including 4-for-5 from three-point range. He sank 6-of-9 free-throw attempts. The senior from Hooksett, N.H., tallied 15 points in each half.

Missoula Osprey 2009 Review

The Missoula Osprey posted a 40-36 record and beat Great Falls in three games to take the North Division title before losing in the Championship Series in three games to Orem. They were the primary beneficiary of the fantastic Arizona Diamondbacks June Draft, as the Missoula roster featured 16 prospects selected within the first 20 rounds, including four who were among the top 60 picks overall.

Weekend Viewing Guide

The final month of the season is upon us and the focus shifts to bowl eligibility and seeding. One division may be decided tomorrow, as Georgia Tech can clinch with a win over Duke. Miami, looking for a big bowl, has a huge game at UNC. On the other side, Clemson and Boston College go on the road, hoping to get a leg up on the other in the standings.
