Boise State Broncos

After sitting out last season with a knee injury, Jessica Thompson returned to the Boise State women's basketball program with a new focus and a new name - she's Jessica Van Hoogen now after her May wedding.

The Vandals avenged an earlier loss at Boise State with a 25-16, 25-18, 25-20 win in Moscow on Thursday night. It won't be long until Idaho (15-14, 11-5 WAC) and Boise State (7-21, 7-9) reacquaint themselves with each other, as they will meet in the first round of the WAC Tournament in Las Vegas. Idaho, the No. 3 seed, will take on Boise State, the No. 6 seed, on Monday.

So far, it's been a fun week for Boise State junior Janie Bos.

Boise State volleyball is headed to Las Vegas, Nev., to participate in the 2009 Western Athletic Conference volleyball tournament held at the Orleans Arena. This is the first year the tournament is played at a neutral site as well as the first time it has been in a six-team format. The Broncos enter the tournament as the No. 6-seed and will face No. 3-seeded Idaho in a 6:00 pm (MT) match on Monday, Nov. 23.

The Western Athletic Conference, in conjunction with its Web site partner JumpTV Sports, has announced it will stream the first two days of the 2009 WAC Volleyball Tournament. Viewers can sign up by visiting www.WAC.tv.

BOISE, Idaho - The No. 8 ranked Boise State wrestling team (NWCA/USA Today) will travel to Corvallis, Ore. this Sunday (Nov. 22), to face its' first big test of the 2009-10 season with a pair of duals against No. 13 University of Wisconsin and Pac-10 Conference rival Oregon State. The Broncos will wrestle Wisconsin at 3 p.m. (PT) and Oregon State at 5 p.m. (PT) on the OSU campus.

Is Boise State fired up about playing the rapidly improving Utah State Aggies? They'd better be. The team they will face tomorrow night is one of the up-and-coming teams in the conference.
