Boise State gets more than a million dollars from WAC

Boise State has received $1,193,360 from its annual WAC disbursement, school officials said Thursday. That number is different than has appeared in other published reports. Idaho has received $729,012, athletic director Rob Spear said. The WAC disbursement includes bowl travel expenses and revenue from the NCAA men's basketball tournament, WAC basketball tournament, Bowl Championship Series and ESPN contract. Boise State's payout was down from $1,672,056 in fiscal 2008. Idaho's was down from $800,247. The most significant factor was that the WAC had a football team reach the BCS in 2007, but not in 2008.
